What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rehab Clerk II position at Fairview Health Services?
Responsible for covering the front desk of the clinic which includes answering phones, checking in patients, scheduling, taking co-pays, filing and getting next day’s patient schedule prepared. Responsibilities also include light cleaning and maintenance of equipment, restocking of treatment rooms, organizing of clinic and assistance with simple/unskilled patient procedures.

- Hours will be Monday - 2 hours, Wednesday - 2.5 hours, and Thursday - 3 hours
Responsibilities
Patient information contact
- Greet patients, Answers or direct simple questions to appropriate person
- Answers clinic phone, Announces arrival of patients
- Calls next day patients for reminders, Schedule or change appointments
- Prints patient schedules, Types RIMS forms
- Filing patient charts, Prepare next day patient charts
Assists therapists
- Preparing patient for treatment
- Cleaning treatment areas following patient care
- Stocking treatment room supplies
- Cleans and maintains equipment
Provides patient transfers and transport.
- Follows proper procedure when completing/assisting with patient transfers to insure safety of patient and self.
- Transports assigned patients in a safe and timely manner.
Assists with patient care as delegated and under the supervision of the therapist.
- Immediately reports any observed change in patient status to therapist.
Demonstrates proficient use of department communication and computer equipment and processes.
- Completes various clerical duties as assigned.
- Completes patient scheduling as assigned.
- Communicates changes in schedule to staff/patients.
- Communication across multiple mediums such as fax, copy, intercom and paging systems.
Prepares, Maintains and Cleans Department/Treatment areas in Compliance with Safety and Infection Control Standards.
- Completes cleaning per schedule.
- Completes maintenance, temperature and safety checklist.
- Completes daily, monthly checklists.
- Maintains accurate clinic inventory levels and rotates stock as items are replenished.
Demonstrates awareness of and compliance with department productivity standards, attendance, time management and prioritization.

- High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
- Previous office or healthcare facility work experience
- Basic use of Microsoft Office applications
- Interest in Rehab Services field/undergraduate college student interested in Health Care field
