Assistant Director of Nursing

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to join our team. As the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for overseeing the nursing department and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. You will also be responsible for managing and leading a team of nurses and implementing effective nursing practices.

Duties:
- Manage and supervise the nursing department, including hiring, training, and evaluating nursing staff
- Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and protocols
- Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and Medicare guidelines
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor patient outcomes and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal care
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, fostering a positive work environment
- Oversee the maintenance of accurate medical records and documentation
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in nursing practices and technologies
- Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Provide education and training to nursing staff on new procedures or protocols

Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Master's degree preferred)
- Current Registered NY state Nurse (RN) license
- Proven experience in nursing administration or leadership role
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Familiarity with hospice care principles and practices
- Knowledge of healthcare systems, regulations, and standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage a team of nurses

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $139,190.00 - $148,337.89 per year
