Director of Clinical Services/Clinical Manager
Primary Function: The Director of Clinical Services is that person in the local Faith & Family Hospice that has responsibility for the day-to-day operation of patient care service.
Job Responsibilities:
Supervisorial Responsibilities
· Hires, orients, supervises, trains, and evaluates the performance of Clinical Staff and is responsible for their employment status.
Operational Responsibilities
· Authorizes all expenditures for patient care.
· Assures compliance with the policies and procedures of Faith & Family Hospice as well as regulatory and statutory requirements in the patient care area.
· Assures that the professional standards of community nursing practices are maintained by all nurses providing care.
· Participates in the establishment of services policies and procedures.
Community Relations
· Responds to all complaints arising in patient care from patients, families, referral sources, attending physicians, contract nursing homes, etc.
· Assures that each complaint is handled properly and resolved.
Staff Responsibilities
· Maintains open communication with all patient care staff and between patient care and other Faith & Family Hospice departments.
· Works with the Admissions Director to ensure timely and appropriate admissions.
Reporting Relationship:
The Director of Clinical Services reports to the Executive Director of Faith & Family Hospice.
Qualifications:
· Current RN License in Massachusetts.
· Bachelor’s or master’s Degree is preferred.
· 2 – 3 years minimum of Hospice Management experience.
*The position initially will also involve Clinical Manager responsibilities. A primary function is to supervise a group of the hospice interdisciplinary team, until further census growth (90 plus patients). Additionally, the job will include supervising two (2) IDT monthly meetings as well as weekend oversight twice monthly (there is full coverage with utilizing a weekend staff led by a nurse practitioner).

Pay: $115,000.00 - $122,500.00 per year
