Data Analyst

Falck is a global emergency medical services provider originating from Denmark that services 3 states in the US including California, Oregon, and Colorado. Falck has been operating in the US since 2010 and is one of the largest private providers of emergency medical services in the country today. Our BLS and ALS services impact not only the lives of our patients but their families and communities.

Projected Salary: $65,000-$80,000 DOE

Position Summary:

The BI Analyst supports the reporting needs of all departments within Falck USA, primarily focusing on the Billing department. The reporting solutions used will mainly be Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Excel. Currently, there are approximately 20 Power BI reports for billing, targeting min. 40 different users (supervisors, managers, and executive management).

The position plays a key role in the Performance Management journey that Falck is on, by drafting scorecards for each department, maintaining business intelligence reports, and supporting with ad hoc analysis. In addition to recurring reporting, Falck is pushing for generating new insights, and using data in different ways than they have historically. This will entail working closely with the business to understand their reporting requirements and then translating it to the European development team.

The BI Analyst will be part of the BI & Performance Management team currently consisting of a Senior Data Analyst and a BI & Performance Manager.

The BI Analyst will be articulate, analytical, and a team player who understands the power of data in healthcare. The analyst enjoys coordinating with various levels of the organization, learns quickly, and can work both independently and as part of a team.

Essential Functions:

The BI Analyst is responsible to oversee these duties that may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Runs month-end reports for all regional business offices
• Continuously improve the reporting and solution landscape
• Generates BI reports and analytics for regional offices
• Supports each US contract with day-to-day insights (ad-hoc)
• Identifies new performance initiatives
• Builds relationships with key stakeholders, be an expert in multiple data sources, and creates/implements innovative and sustainable solutions for the measurement of billing performance
• Participates in Process Improvement initiatives
• Provides analytical support and identifies business trends that require action
• Performs special projects and other duties as assigned by the local operations and Falck Corporate

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics or a related field
• Minimum two years of experience with business intelligence
• Experienced in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, Power Apps
• Proficient in Microsoft Power BI
• Preferably experienced in Power Apps
• Experienced in SQL
• Ability to demonstrate problem-solving, analytical, oral, and written communication skills, and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group
• Ability to engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously while working in a dynamic environment subject to impromptu changes in schedules and priorities
