The Director of Facilities is responsible for immediate oversight of maintenance and upkeep of all company facilities as well as coordinating and providing input on construction of new restaurants. Provide support leadership of HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), plumbing, electrical, and carpentry systems. Establish priorities; plan, schedule and coordinate daily work orders for preventive and predictive maintenance repair.
Qualified candidates for the position will have exceptional oral and written communication skills and be equally comfortable and effective leading large, diverse teams and working one-on-one. Interpersonal skills are critical, as are demonstrable management, mentoring and leadership experiences
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directs and manages all large repair projects, including contract negotiation and quality control
May be involved in permitting process for construction projects; Will direct new equipment maintenance and repair for new construction process and will assist with inspecting new construction and providing punch lists to contractors
Supports operations on facilities and equipment issues and completes hands on repairs when possible Resolves problems with restaurants, distributors, and suppliers
Manages vendors’ performance to make sure standards are being maintained and sourcing of new or alternate vendors as needed
Recommends HVAC, heating, water heaters, interior and exterior finishes, and building materials as it relates to serviceability, maintenance, and cost savings
Develops budgets and project expenditures on equipment and facilities
Provides day to day leadership and management that mirror the company’s mission and vision Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Performs additional duties as assigned by immediate supervisor
QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree preferred or three (3) years of facilities management experience preferably foodservice
Basic knowledge of building maintenance activates, including HVAC, refrigeration, electrical and foodservice equipment
