As a Hostess/Host, you will play a crucial role in creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for our patrons, ensuring they have an exceptional dining experience from the moment they step through our doors.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, providing a friendly and genuine smile.
- Manage the waiting list efficiently, accurately estimating wait times and effectively communicating with guests.
- Escort guests to their tables and present them with menus, ensuring a smooth transition from waiting area to dining area.
- Respond to guest inquiries, providing accurate information about the restaurant, menu items, and any ongoing promotions.
- Assist in coordinating reservations and seating arrangements to maximize dining space utilization.
- Monitor the dining areas to ensure tables are cleaned and reset promptly, maintaining an organized and visually appealing environment.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of service, communicating any special requests or considerations.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally and promptly, striving to find satisfactory solutions.
- Maintain knowledge of the breakfast and lunch menu
- Provide general assistance to guests, such as, offering high chairs, or guiding them to restrooms.
- Learn and understand Point of Sale ordering system
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with guests and team members.
- Strong multitasking abilities, remaining calm and composed during busy periods.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate seating and smooth operations.
- Positive attitude and a passion for providing outstanding customer service.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices is a plus.
