Position Summary: The Psychiatrist provides therapy and/or medication management as needed to identify, diagnose, and treat patients under their care.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical services at or above the customary practice standards in the Community, and within the qualifications and experience of Physician and adhere to the standards and principles of medical ethics of the American Medical Association, and all recognized associations or accrediting boards concerned with Physician's area of medical specialty.
- Conduct diagnostic assessments using the bio-psycho-social model through discussion, observation, and analysis.
- Identify psychiatric conditions according to the DSM-5
- Develop comprehensive treatment plans through multi-disciplinary collaboration with therapists and other professionals.
- Initiate and manage psychopharmacologic treatments.
- Order and evaluate laboratory and other diagnostic test results.
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals when hospitalization is required.
- Provide psychoeducation to patients and families when clinically appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with medical assistants to streamline clinical workflow and optimize the patient’s experience of care.
Minimum Qualifications:
- MD or DO required
- ACGME-accredited residency training program in psychiatry preferred
- Current medical license in state of practice
- Current and unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration in the state of practice
- Certification from the American Board of Medical Specialists (ABMS)
Compensation & Benefits:
- Annual Salary Range: $267,000 - $300,000 Depending on Experience
- Opportunity for compensation rewards through our 5-star program $32,000 annually
- $15,000 retention bonus
