Dental Assistant

Job Overview:

Busy, upbeat dental office seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the dentist and dental hygienists to provide high-quality dental care to our patients. Willing to train any individual with the ability and passion to learn dental assisting skills. Your role will involve assisting with various dental procedures, maintaining patient records, and ensuring a clean and sterile environment.

Duties:
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are readily available
- Assist Dentist chairside
- Take digital x-rays
- Monitor supplies and dental lab cases
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide post-operative instructions
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and medical histories
- Schedule patient appointments
- Assist with dental receptionist duties as needed, including answering phone calls and greeting patients

Experience:
- Previous experience working as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is highly desirable
- Proficiency in using dental software system such as Eaglesoft is a plus
- Ability to take accurate vital signs and maintain infection control protocols
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
