Position Details

The Coordination Director is responsible to provide operational oversight of the coordination of services within the agency. The Director will provide oversight to CAP and Care Coordinators within Integrated Health Homes and Holistic Care Coordination. The supervisory staff of these services will report to the Coordination Director. The Coordination Director is responsible for the department’s goals and measures and will work collectively across the agency to meet outcomes. These responsibilities are carried out under the direction of the Program Officer.

 

Qualifications

  • Masters' Degree in human services or related field preferred, Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in the field of mental health; or any equivalent combination of training and experience. Demonstrates a current working knowledge in the field of mental health crisis services.

 

Position Specifics

  • Full-time position starting at $62,500.00 per year 
  • Position Hours: Typically Monday - Friday, hours between 8 am to 5 pm with some flexibility to meet clients' needs.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Financial

  • Works with the Director of Finance and Program Officer to lead budgeting meetings to ensure that the program budgets are accurate, achievable and on track.
  • Meets or exceeds budgeted financial expectations for assigned area of responsibility.

Operations

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of the department, as well as refining and implementing ongoing operations of the department.
  • Ensure all regulatory standards (i.e. COA, managed care organization, and licensing) pertaining to the department are met and create appropriate systems to maintain compliance.
  • Establish outcomes, program goals and logic models, and stakeholder reporting tools in partnership with the Effectiveness and Quality Department.  Provide and analyze data for required reports.
  • Develop, review and manage all internal and external performance improvement plans and audits, as well as follow through with any corrective action recommended.
  • Track overall service documentation for timeliness and edit for quality.  Ensure timely documentation is in compliance with applicable State, Federal, Accreditation, and Family Resources standards.
  • Ensure adequate staffing to meet regulatory requirements, as well as budget expectations. 
  • Ensure agency policies, personnel procedures, and practices are implemented and followed.
  • Conduct, at minimum, twice-a-month supervisions with all direct reports and ensure appropriate documentation is maintained.
  • Operate from  the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS)

Client/External

  • Serves as a public face of the Agency by interfacing with regulatory, community and funder leadership.
  • Ensures that communication with outside parties is coordinated and effectively builds positive relationships.
  • Leads staff to ensure that clients have successful outcomes.
  • Ensures measures are in place and followed to enable the agency to measure service outcomes and demonstrate improvement of children and families served.
  • Actively participate as liaison for assigned community, state, and national affiliations.
  • Communicate and act as a liaison for the agency with community systems such as law enforcement, child welfare (DHS/DCFS), government entities, institutes of higher education, etc.
  • Build relationships with community allies; promote the program to funders, units of government and others who interact on behalf of survivors.

People

  • Creates positive, inclusive, safe, client-led and outcome-oriented culture.
  • Oversees the hiring, development, supervision, and retention of qualified staff.
  • Oversees communication with staff in assigned area of responsibility to ensure that staff understands the organizational vision, culture, and strategy.
  • Implements and provides leadership interpretation/guidance for agency policies and procedures.

 

 

Must have current proof of car insurance, able to pass a driving background check, and have reliable transportation.
