Essential Job Functions
Normal working conditions are absent of extreme factors. Employee will remain in stationary position 50% of the time and frequently lift items up to 25 pounds or greater.

Essential Job Functions
- Adhere to the ethical standards of FamilyForward and those of the specific profession.
- Maintain core values standards.
- Provide coaching sessions in families homes or other community locations using evidence-based, trauma-informed interventions.
- Address concrete needs and connect families to community resources.
- Interact/communicate with parents/caregivers in a respectful and supportive manner.
- Assess the safety and health of children as a first priority.
- Communicate/collaborate with others (therapists, child welfare workers, medical providers, etc.) for continuity of care.
- Document interactions, develop case plans, and conduct needs assessments.
- Perform related work as required or as delegated by supervisor.
- Complete 20 hours of in-service training annually.
- Complete annual First Aid/CPR training, training in child abuse and neglect identification, and mandated reporting and prevention training.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
- Bachelors degree in Social Work required; master's degree in Social Work or related field preferred.
- Minimum two years of related experience.
- Experience working in community based social services.
- Experience in serving high needs populations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must be to handle confidential information, administrative details, work independently, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of agency vision, mission, and services.
- Knowledge of child development and individual/family functioning.
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing needs and time pressures.
- Ability to engage difficult to reach, traumatized, or disengaged individuals and families.
- Ability to work with individuals with co-occurring health, mental health, and substance abuse conditions.
- Ability to collaborate as a team across other disciplines and services.
- Ability to exercise discretion and sound judgement.
- Ability to disseminate information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to communicate professionally with coworkers, customers, donors, and vendors.
- Ability to create and sustain positive working relationships with all levels of the agency; internal and external.
