IT Infrastructure Project Manager

Overall Responsibility/Primary Objective of the Position:

The Project Manager manages the execution, coordination, and completion of IT Infrastructure related projects. The Project Manager is the central point of contact and often SME, for all project-related information which is communicated via project team updates, resource meetings, project testing and project reporting.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

The Infrastructure Project Manager (PM) manages project scope, manages risks, coordinates resolution to issues, manages meetings, and drives infrastructure projects through to completion. This is accomplished through managing and coordinating resources from a variety of functional areas. The PM allocates assignments to and coaches project participants to ensure completion of project tasks within time, budget and quality standards. At times, the Infrastructure PM will also be a resource to a project.

Business Unit Processes:

-Resource Gathering, including identifying 3rd party tools and services to achieve the project objectives

- Manage the Escalation Process for assigned Projects

- Manage the Communication Process for assigned Projects

- Manage the Change Control Process for assigned Projects

-Manage the Project Closing Process for assigned Projects

Project Ownership:

▪ Work with the business and technical teams to execute a project plan to deliver within the scope of the project

▪ Drive projects through the execution and management of project deliverables, communication plans, etc.

▪ Understand the cost, timeline, and resources necessary to execute and complete projects; including negotiating with third parties for external tools and software solutions

▪ Prepare the quality assurance specifications that guide and measure the success of project deliverables

▪ Successfully utilize and communicate change management strategies in the execution of projects

▪ Anticipate and plan contingencies in relationship to project risk

▪ Track and oversee the resolution of any project open issues and action items.

Leadership:

▪ Confidently lead technical and business teams in the design, build, deploy and training phases of a project.

▪ Proactively lead and manage customer and third-party resources in executing a project

▪ Continuously strive to incorporate process improvement into Famous’ project methodology

Business and Management:

▪ Support phone system, security cameras

Tools:

▪ Apply crucial knowledge of project management software, including Microsoft Project, Visio, and Excel to manage project tasks, dependencies, timelines, resources, and costs

▪ Jira and Confluence for documenting project activities and tasks

▪ Knowledge of servers, switches, pc’s, security equipment, access points, etc.

Experience and Educational Requirement:
-Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
-2 years’ experience in medium to large project engagements
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Project Management Tools
-Use of video/voice conferencing tools
