Job Description

As a valued contributor to our team, you will assist the team with the day-to-day operations of the Technology Selection Process (TSP), as well as lead cross-functional continuous improvement efforts to ensure the process can fully support Fannie Mae’s Digital Transformation goals and corporate strategy.

The Enterprise Architecture – Product Management – Advisor role for TSP will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Work closely with key stakeholders to develop and maintain the TSP Strategy and Product Roadmap
  • Proactively identify areas of process improvement and optimization
  • Facilitate problem solving sessions with key stakeholders to drive the TSP target state
  • Manage the TSP product lifecycle and ongoing maintenance
  • Provide overall TSP Program Management, including oversight of financials, backlog management, feature prioritization, and implementation of process improvements

As a valued contributor to our team, you will advise the team on processes and methods for building, developing, or designing functionality for a product, as well as create processes and procedures for the ongoing implementation, enhancement, or maintenance of existing products.

 

Qualifications

Solid understanding of the Technology lifecycle at Fannie Mae, and the various functions & stakeholders that support it, e.g.:

  • Enterprise Architecture & Governance
  • Third-Party Risk Management
  • InfoSec (Architecture, Vulnerability Management, Risk Management)
  • Procurement, etc.
  • Experience facilitating cross-functional problem solving exercises using common problem solving techniques including but not limited to:
  • Value Stream Mapping
  • Design Thinking
  • Ishikawa/Fishbone diagram analysis
  • Root Cause Analysis
  • Pareto Analysis
  • Experience in the process of analyzing data to identify trends or relationships to inform conclusions about the data
  • The group of skills related to Influencing including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict
  • Experience identifying and selecting strategic options, and identifying resources to meet the defined objectives
  • Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal
  • The group of skills related to Operational Excellence including improving and overseeing operations
  • The group of skills related to Relationship Management including managing and engaging stakeholders, customers, and vendors, building relationship networks, contracting, etc.
  • Experience gathering accurate information to explain concepts and answer critical questions
  • The group of skills related to Product Development including designing products, developing product roadmaps, translating design requirements, prototyping, etc.
  • Experience helping an organization to plan and manage change in effort to meet strategic objectives
  • Skilled in creating & delivering impactful communications and presentations to facilitate decision-making at senior and executive leadership levels.
  • Skilled in identifying, tracking, and reporting on relevant Key Performance Indicators
  • Skilled in Atlassian tools (i.e., Confluence, Jira, Jira Service Desk)
  • Experience modeling processes/value streams (Visio, ARIS, HOPEX, etc.) and operationalizing them
  • Skilled in Visio, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Skilled in MyServices to manage digital workflows
  • Solid understanding of the P2P process, and its dependencies with TSP



THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

  • Research and advise on design strategy for new products.
  • Review the implementation process for new products.
  • Identify opportunities for product improvements, as well as collect feedback from team and provide recommendations.
  • Advise on the product lifecycle and ongoing maintenance.
  • Advise on and ensure product strategy is in alignment with business objectives.
  • Experience gathering accurate information to explain concepts and answer critical questions
  • The group of skills related to Business Insight including advising, designing business models, interpreting customer and market insights, forecasting, benchmarking, etc.
  • The group of skills related to Programming including coding, debugging, and using relevant programming languages
  • The group of skills related to Influencing including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict
  • Skilled in presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand
  • Skilled in documentation and database reporting for the purposes of analysis, data discovery, and decision-making with the use of relevant software such as Crystal Reports, Excel, or SSRS
  • Experience in the process of analyzing data to identify trends or relationships to inform conclusions about the data
  • The group of skills related to Risk Assessment and Management including evaluating and designing controls, conducting impact assessments, identifying control gaps, remediating risk, etc.
  • Adept at managing project plans, resources, and people to ensure successful project completion
  • Skilled in the graphical representation of information in the form of a charts, diagrams, pictures, and dashboards with programs and tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI
  • Experience identifying and selecting strategic options, and identifying resources to meet the defined objectives
  • Ability to frame ideas as systems and analyzing the inputs, outputs, and process
  • The group of skills related to Product Management including managing demand, releases, and backlog
  • Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal
  • Skilled in creating visual concepts, creating content, and editing content by hand or with the help with computer software to communicate ideas
  • Experience helping an organization to plan and manage change in effort to meet strategic objectives
  • The group of skills related to Relationship Management including managing and engaging stakeholders, customers, and vendors, building relationship networks, contracting, etc.
  • The group of skills related to Operational Excellence including improving and overseeing operations
  • The group of skills related to Communication including communicating in writing or verbally, copywriting, planning and distributing communication, etc.
  • The group of skills related to Product Development including designing products, developing product roadmaps, translating design requirements, prototyping, etc.
  • Skilled in Tableau
  • Skilled in Visio
  • Skilled in Excel
  • Experience using JIRA
  • Skilled in SQL
