Job Title: Data Entry Analyst
Location: Washington, D.C
Working hours: 40h/week
Commitment: Full-time position (40 hours weekly)
Job Summary: Far Government is looking for a Data Entry Analyst. The Data Entry Analyst must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams. The right candidate will have a passion for police accountability and an understanding of the systems and institutions involved in the criminal justice system. The data analyst should be able to perform different tasks as demanded.
Requirements: The candidate must meet the following requirements.
Experience with databases, ability to understand relational data, as well as interpretation of related data
Excellent quantitative abilities. Demonstrated ability to accurately and quickly gather, understand, and manipulate complex data from varying sources
Ability and willingness to learn new programming languages and software as needed
Detail-oriented Demonstrated interest and experience in racial and social justice or
criminal defense
Duties: the candidate must perform and not limited to the following duties:
Entering information into a database about law enforcement misconduct, including cleaning all data, managing users, and troubleshooting
Request and collect information and records from attorneys, agencies and other personnel regarding police misconduct
Scrape data from online databases and case management databases and identify current data entry inefficiencies and utilize open source and other software to
automate procedures
Exercise independent judgment and creative problem-solving techniques to handle sensitive or confidential information
Supervise interns to assist with data entry and work with consultants on any database system errors or upgrades and function as point of contact for all user issues or troubleshooting .
