Job Overview:
FAR Group is looking to hire a Catholic Priest to conduct sacramental services in the absence of a military Catholic Chaplain at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
Job Details:
- Job Title: Catholic Priest
- Location: Fort Campbell, KY
- Schedule: Exact hours of performance shall be coordinated with the COR. The contractor shall provide necessary, or requested, sacraments on those Sundays and weekdays that the Contractor’s services are required.
The Contractor shall provide two (2) Sunday Masses (10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.) and the sacrament of reconciliation 0900-0945 and 1115-1145 on those Sundays required.
Requirements & Skills:
· Must be qualified to meet the criteria of the Archdiocese of the Military Services, USA (AMS) to receive endorsement and faculties with the AMS
· Must possess previous experience working as a Catholic Priest.
Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:
· Must perform all work and responsibility for planning, programming, administering, managing, and executing all functions necessary to provide the services that are specified.
· Must be on location before scheduled services to ensure proper preparation for successful performance, at least 30 minutesprior to the services being performed.
· Has the ability to communicate effectively in English for coordination with the community and satisfactory completion of administrative tasks.
· Celebrate Mass in accordance with the General Instruction of the Roman Missal (GIRM) normally lasting one hour on Sundays and holy days of obligation, 30 minutes on weekdays and including a homily, as scheduled by the Catholic Chaplain or Government POC.
· Celebrate up to 10 Masses for special events and/or religious holidays (to include but not be limited to Lent, Holy Triduum, Easter, and Advent) in accordance with the General Instruction of the Roman Missal (GIRM), as scheduled by the Government Catholic Priest or Government POC.
· Must be available for the sacrament of Reconciliation (confession) before each Sunday Mass and at a request by a community member.
· Must be available for Emergency Viaticum, Anointing of the Sick, as needed, in coordination with Catholic Chaplain or Government POC.
· Must be available for the sacrament of Baptism and sacrament of Matrimony as scheduled by the Catholic Chaplain or Government POC.
