Responsibilities
As a personal injury law firm, our mission is to build strong connections with our clients. Our Pre-Suit Assistant act as a liaison to maintain our client’s relationship with their legal team. We prioritize our customer’s needs, create solutions, and leave them with an unforgettably positive impression. We ensure that our entry level Legal Assistants are given the right tools to succeed through our training. - Keeps cases organized by establishing and organizing files; monitoring calendars; meeting deadlines; documenting actions; inputting information into file database and case management software; confirming case status with attorney.
- Keeps clients informed by maintaining contact; communicating case progress.
- Maintains case costs by verifying outstanding balances with attorney, clients, and providers.
- Supports case preparation by preparing case summaries and materials for mediation conferences; organizing materials for team case review.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
- Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Qualifications
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Excellent customer service, time management, and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to develop working relationships with clients, field associates and vendors
- At least 2-5 years Personal Injury experience preferred
- Capacity to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- The ability to work on the phones for extended periods of time
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Consistent record of attendance, reliability, and integrity
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology a plus
- This position is in a professional office setting, Work Remote-No.
- This is Full time - 40 hour work week, Monday - Friday
- High School diploma or equivalent is
- College degree preferred
- Bilingual a plus
