Aircraft Detailer

Position Title: Aircraft Detailer
Position Reports to: Maintenance Manager
Location: Fargo Jet Center - Fargo, ND

Primary Operational Objectives:
The Aircraft Detailer will provide high quality professional cleaning and detailing services to commercial, corporate and individual aircraft and vehicles.

Essential Job Functions:

• Conduct basic cleaning of aircraft exterior (e.g. fuselage, airfoil surfaces, control services, belly and under wing areas.).
• Advanced cleaning of aircraft exterior (e.g. machine buffing, protective waxing and metal polishing).
• Maintain and condition de-icing of aircraft boots.
• Basic interior cleaning of passenger cabin and cockpit (e.g. vacuuming, surface wipe downs, seatbelt crossing and window cleaning).
• Advanced interior detailing (e.g. carpet shampooing and leather conditioning).
• Follow specific guidelines of each aircraft requirements.
• Clean and detail interior of automobiles as required.
• Use manual dexterity and bodily coordination to perform tasks
• Responsible to follow and comply with all aviation safety rules and regulations.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor.

Qualifications:

• High School or GED
• Must be detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills
• 1-3 years of previous aircraft or automotive detailing experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment a plus
• Ability to work varied hours to accommodate customer needs
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities/fast-paced environments

Physical Demands:

• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
• Frequent kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, bending, stretching, reaching, pushing and pulling
• Ability to wear PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) when required
• Ability to work with toxic chemicals, fumes and loud noises
• Ability to work with heights
• Ability to lift equipment (e.g. cleaning brushes or scrapers, carpet cleaners, squeegees or washers, vacuum cleaners and/or water hoses) over head
• Constant repetitive motion
• Able to work in hot and cold climates
