Come join a team of engaged team members who work to make our member-borrowers and each other's dreams come true. Farm Credit of the Virginias is seeking to hire a Branch Manager in their Harrisonburg, VA Branch. The Branch Manager leads a lending location(s) team to meet/exceed expectations.
Responsibilities/Duties
* Builds strong and long-lasting lending relationships with customers (primarily business/small business customers) who have a need for high quality and creative credit solutions to matters of significance.
* Actively pursues building relationships with new/potential customers.
* Exercises significant independent judgment in recommending credit solutions, structuring solutions with sound credit administration while meeting the Association's income needs.
* Services an assigned portfolio with collateral inspections, appraisals, plans of collection, inspections, delinquency treatments, credit classifications and other servicing-related actions.
* Assesses team member performance and provides feedback.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Agriculture, Economics, Finance or related field.
* 3 years of lending (or related) work experience
* 3 years of supervisory experience
* A record of leading teams who meet/exceed goals
* Valid Driver's license
* Skilled in effective communication skills, both oral and written
* Knowledge of region's economic & agriculture environment
* Makes sound business decisions upon which both customers & the Association can rely
* Ability to form effective internal working relationships
* Ability to work in a high performing team environment
* Proficient in Microsoft Office products with demonstrated ability to learn new technology and to lead technology changes
* Skill working in a mobile/virtual work environment with flexibility to travel as necessary
* Ability to travel extensively
