Branch Operations Assistant, Fostoria, OH
Performs and/or assists with all phases of Association loan accounting, including but not limited to, accounting for lending office loans, participations purchased, participations sold, nonaccrual loans, all other functions necessary to properly account for and control the Association's loan portfolio and to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of Association loan accounting data. Performs general ledger, cash management, internal control, Loan Accountant support and other duties needed to allow the Operations team to fulfill its assigned functions.

Responsibilities
1. Provides timely and accurate daily loan accounting related support to Regional and other Association team members.
2. Contributes daily to providing q uality customer service to internal and external customers, building positive team spirit and develop quality working relationships between all team members.
3. Performs day-to-day review, maintenance, and administration of the Association's loan and borrowing entity accounting systems.
4. Assists with creating, implementing, maintaining, and performing appropriate internal manuals and related internal controls.
5. Assists in performing loan system and/or internal control report preparation and review, general ledger reconciliations, report reconciliations, and other related duties as assigned.
6. Reviews, verifies, and monitors of loan accounting related reports.
7. Processes or verifies incoming and outgoing wire transfer requests.
8. Provides Regional Loan Accountant support in ACBS, Teller, etc. and helps to answer their questions and work through their challenges/opportunities.
9. Provides backup Loan Accounting support for Agribusiness for ACBS.
10. Books loans, posts payments, and works with selling banks on differences on 100% Guaranteed Purchases and certain Other Purchases in ACBS.
11. Assists with centralized loan accounting and other processes.
12. Assists with loan accounting related training.
13. Completes training programs as organized and/or approved by AgCredit and assists with departmental and Association training as assigned.
14. Assists with other Operations Department functions and any other duties as assigned by the Loan Operations Managers or CFO.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Education and/or experience equivalent to an Associate Degree.
- One to three years of loan processing or accounting experience.
- Personal computer skills (Microsoft Office suite).
- Knowledge of general ledger (PeopleSoft) and loan accounting systems (DNA, ACBS, etc.).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Professional tele phone etiquette.
- Works independently under supervisory direction as well as work in a team atmosphere.
- The ability and willingness to travel to lending offices, AgFirst Farm Credit Bank and other locations for training. Some overnight travel may be expected.
