QUALIFICATIONS
High school graduate or equivalent G.E.D.
General knowledge and ability to perform many and varied tasks and work assignments within the
Nutrition Service Department.
General knowledge of the best methods of preparing and cooking foods in large quantities.
Must be well informed with respect to foods, sanitation and federal lunch requirements
Must have working knowledge of methods, materials and equipment used in large scale food
preparation and serving.
Must be able to plan and supervise the work of others.
Must be able to keep records and submit reports.
Must have the ability to plan with a view to economy in the use of time, supplies and equipment as well
as foodstuffs.
Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with staff members and the community
Must have previous good attendance record.
Will be required to pass a written Cooking Managers test and practical equipment test.
Upon receiving position, must pass Serve-Safe and Allergan tests as required by Health Department
within 90 days.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
