What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bottling Line Lead position at Fasco Employment Inc?
Lead Duties:
- Directs bottling line employees in daily tasks through hands-on-training, coaching and problem solving
- Manages activities for the efficient and cost effective us of materials, equipment, and labor in finished goods assembly.
- Works in conjunction with maintenance to troubleshoot, adjust, and take appropriate action to maintain production equipment.
- Recommends changes or improvements in production programs or operations to management
- Effectively communicates directives and company initiatives to team
- Maintains clean and safe work area, assure all procedures are followed and equipment are cleaned per food safety and quality standards and ready for next work day.
Bottling Line Duties
- Rotates and works at four different line stations including bottle loader and labeling, bottle filler, packer and case labeler and palletizer
- Loads and monitors bottling line machines, such as fillers, cappers and labeling machines to achieve desired objectives
- Monitors all aspects of product quality visually while at each bottling station including seals, caps, labels, fill level, case appearance and pallet configuration. Inspects bottles for sticky or non-conforming product, notifies Production Manager of quality issues.
- Monitors line packaging and inventory, and either obtains or requests from the warehouse additional needed materials in order to keep the line operating
- Assure that proper bottling, safety and sanitation procedures are followed
- Assure honey and cartons are properly labeled
- Maintain required HACCP and Company paperwork
- Responsible for weight control documentation
- Actively participates in the company's safety initiatives, attends meetings and training sessions to foster a safe work environment
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 6- 12 months experience in production work, preferably in food industry
- Ability to read and write English
- Clean background check
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, lift and bend for 95% of the work day
- Ability to squat/crouch and push/pull 33% of the work day
- Ability to twist for 50% of the work day
- Ability to grasp and turn for 50% of the work day
- Ability to be around moving machinery for 100% of the work day
- Ability to llift a maximum of 65 pounds
- Ability to go up and down ladders 15% of the work day
