THE POSITION
Fast Forward is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to develop and execute marketing initiatives for partners and the tech nonprofits we serve. This role is for a marketing generalist with a special flair for developing and nurturing partnerships. Together with our partners and tech nonprofits, this marketer will create beautiful, impactful materials that advance both Fast Forward and our partner’s goals.
The ideal candidate is a natural relationship builder who understands how to thrive in a collaborative environment to bring a project to life. They are looking for an opportunity to work in an inspiring and dynamic place where their attention to detail and communication skills will truly shine.
This position is based in San Francisco, CA; it is a full-time, in-office role (no remote work).
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing Partnerships:
- Act as the primary point of contact and manager for marketing initiatives that involve funding partners.
- Execute on relevant deliverables for funding partners like co-written content, blog posts, and marketing/communications kits.
- Develop and implement strategies to leverage ecosystem/marketing partnerships.
- Execute on deliverables for ecosystem/marketing partners like co-hosted events, content exchanges, and other collaborations.
Event Marketing:
- Create announcement blogs, landing pages, communications kits, and other marketing collateral for events.
- Manage announcement and event emails, including managing invite lists.
- Support Content Marketing Manager on developing event signage.
Content:
- Develop social media strategies to enhance brand visibility and execute across various platforms, ensuring consistency and alignment with overall marketing goals.
- Support Content Marketing Manager on email newsletters as needed.
- Manage internal and external content repositories like the AI Resource Hub, photo folders, alumni logos, etc.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for someone with these specific traits and experience:
- 4 years of relevant experience in marketing - experience with partnerships and event marketing a plus!
- Excellent communication and relational skills – can build relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and doesn’t make low-effort mistakes.
- Passionate about the impact and potential of social impact tech.
- Strategic thinker who can develop, document, and execute on an impactful strategy.
- Skilled in project management. Can take a project from idea to successful execution (and manage everything that happens in between).
- Thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing startup environment.
