Production Supervisor

FAST Global Solutions is seeking a Production Supervisor (Day Shift) in our Falls City, NE location.

Our Falls City location has two 10-hour shifts which run Monday through Thursday, with overtime on Friday as needed. Our day shift runs 5:30am – 4pm and our night shift runs 4pm – 2:30am.

Job summary:

The Production Supervisor leads, coaches, and develops team members to ensure our operations uphold our core values: KNOW AND SERVE OUR CUSTOMERS, BUILD TRUST, FIND A BETTER WAY and GRIT while meeting our production needs.

Job duties and responsibilities:

• Recommends and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
• Improves production control, standard operating procedure, safety, quality control, and performance management.
• Enforces all company policies and procedures.
• Recommends or initiate personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, discharges and discipline.
• Reviews and maintains time and production records.
• Analyzes and resolves work situations.
• Possesses a basic understanding of all equipment and provides continuous training.
• Initiates all necessary maintenance and repair on equipment.
• Interprets production schedules and estimate hour requirements to ensure shipping dates are met.
• Coordinates department activities to ensure all components of assemblies are completed as necessary.
• Suggests changes to working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or employees.
• Follows blueprint specification and writing and requesting engineering change requests to correct or improve processes.
• Instructs all employees regarding design standards and shop specifications.
• Verifies First Article Inspections are done and conducts final inspections as needed.
• Monitors and trains new employees as necessary.
• Completes all weekly, daily and monthly 5S tasks.

Job Requirements:

• Must have prior leadership experience in a similar role.
• Must have a minimum one-year certificate from college or technical school; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Prior manufacturing experience and knowledge of occupational safety policies and procedures preferred.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other department supervisors and their employees.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

• Must have basic language and math skills and reasoning ability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must be able to walk/stand frequently for a 10-hour shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to pass a physical strength test to perform the job.
• Color vision with depth perception is required.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and levels of humidity.
• Personal protective equipment will be provided by FAST and must be worn in the required areas.
