Responsibilities

In a manner consistent and supportive of our values, the Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing prescription medications and provide information to patients about the drugs and their use. They also advise physicians and other healthcare workers on the selection, dosage, interactions, and side effects of medications to treat health problems.

 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process prescriptions in a timely and accurate manner 
  • Participate in supervision of technicians by organizing and directing workflow
  • Verify order entry, preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals
  • Conduct a final inspection of all prescription orders before delivery to patients 
  • Provide professional consultation to both patients and prescribers 
  • Maintain professional rapport with ordering physicians 
  • Maintain required paperwork and reports 
  • Comply with all applicable company policies and procedures 
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Federal and State laws rules and regulations 
  • Communicates regularly within team in all manners necessary to support excellent patient care.
  • The ability to build and maintain confidence and credibility with all employees.
  •  The ability to maintain friendly, cordial relations with all clients and employees; maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that results in a positive work relationship with customers, co-workers and managers.
  • The ability to perform the physical, use of senses, cognitive, and environmental functions of the position, as specified on the physical demands.
  • Ability to be knowledgeable and comply with Company standards of operations.
  • The ability to promote and maintain a respectful culture of employee, employer and business confidentiality.
  • The ability to consult with patients through virtual communication channels.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical software programs 
  • Knowledge of services available to customers 
  • Knowledge of product location within the pharmacy 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

 

Experience Requirements and Preferences:

Education: 

  • Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy

Experience:

  • At least 1-2 years of experience as a retail pharmacist
