Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 5:00pm
OVERVIEW:
Working as Full-time Compliance Specialist, supporting the Supplier Diversity & Green Products programs, you will be a strategic link between Fastenal's Procurement, Supply Chain, Supplier Development, Customers, and Sales Teams. Your main responsibility will be creating, advocating and governing the suppliers and products that make up these programs. Some key areas supported by this team include but are not limited to: Supplier Prequalification, Annual recertifications of Diversity Status, Marketing Content, Contract Negotiations of Goals, Trade Shows, Advocacy to suppliers in each program, Collaboration with International teams, Stakeholder of Fastenal¿s ESG efforts, and Customer Tier II reporting demands. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Prequalifying diversity suppliers'
o Reviewing and administering Request for Proposals (RFP) and Contracts with Green or Diversity goals
o Ensuring good faith effort and due diligence on contractual obligations for Green & Diversity goals
o Creating and maintaining relationships between supplier, vendor development and sales
o Verifying and maintaining supplier information and documentation
o Generating ad hoc reports
o Collaborating with various departments globally
o Enforcing company policy with regards to supply chain compliance
o Using tools provided to ensure compliance and communication to the organization: PeopleSoft, SmartSheet, Internet, 3rd party databases, Internal communication tools such as BLUE Chatbot, ServiceNow, Sharepoint, and Sales Enablement Center
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
o Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (V-lookups and basic formatting)
o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
o Work independently as well as in a team environment

o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
