About the Position:
The DevOps Engineer I position is an operational engineering role and is an integrated part of our development team. You will work with other DevOps Engineers to improve the security, reliability, speed, scalability, and efficiency of our cloud-based software platform. In addition, you will work on projects that will automate manual and repetitive processes across our development team. The position reports to the DevOps Engineering Manager.

What You'll Do:
- Assist in designing and implementing automated software delivery pipelines.
- Learn to create and manage infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Learn to manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) and ensure high availability and scalability.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve the deployment process and ensure code quality.
- Continuously evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve the DevOps process.
- Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure and deployment processes.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or similar degree and 0 - 2 years of professional software engineering experience
- Basic understanding of software development and IT operations.
- Familiarity with at least one cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) and their associated services.
- Basic understanding of infrastructure as code and automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.
- Basic understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, etc.).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Natural curiosity and eagerness to learn
How You’ll Be Rewarded:
- Competitive Base Pay Range: $63,000-$78,000 annually

- The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and will be based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and capabilities.

The preferred location for this position is: Des Moines, Iowa
We are remote friendly and will also consider candidates who reside in the following states: Colorado, Florida

Fastpath leverages current market data to determine compensation, therefore posted figures are subject to change as new market data becomes available. The base pay range provided by Fastpath represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and will be based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and capabilities.
In addition to cash salary, the total compensation package Fastpath offers may include additional incentives such as a company bonus or variable compensation/commission.
