POSITION SUMMARY

Do you have the leadership skills to organize a team of production designers/pre-press operators in a fast-paced production environment? DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

- Determining and maintaining best practices within the Pre-Press team.
- Overseeing, motivating, supporting, and providing guidance to Pre-Press team staff.
- Holding regular 1:1 meetings with Pre-Press team staff.
- Ensure the pre-press team remains on schedule daily by coordinating with design and production contacts as well as within the pre-press team.
- Communicating regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting deliverables.
- Developing and maintaining a workflow policy to delegate assignments to Pre-Press team staff.
- Work with members of other departments to develop product builds and file preparation that satisfies the customer’s needs.
- Identify work order errors and product build issues and advise adjustments to relevant team members.
- Set up print files for production. An average of 8-12 jobs/day.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred).
- Graphic and production design experience.
- The desire and skills necessary to mentor and support a developing (yet talented) team.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in or interaction with the signage industry
- Experience working with production processes (proofing, prototyping, color matching, etc.).
- Knowledge of sign materials and substrates.
- Experience building templates, creating file structures, and standardizing design practices, (Do you like Lean or “continuous improvement” workflows? Are you always pushing for better practices?)
BENEFITS & WAGES
- $68,000-$80,000 (depending on experience)
