About the Job
Fastspot’s Strategy team works throughout each project to ensure our products meet and exceed the needs of our clients' target audiences. We collectively envision goals and work with designers and developers to translate those plans into beautiful, usable, and functional websites. The ability to communicate with clients, designers, and developers is crucial for this position—as you will be responsible for employing a variety of user-centered research and strategy methods.
At the beginning of each project, you will conduct stakeholder and user research to help Fastspot better understand our clients’ business needs and target audiences. Beyond direct interaction with clients, you will run individual interviews, focus groups, workshops, and create surveys. You will also conduct competitive analysis, landscape reviews, content audits, analytics insights summaries, and usability testing.
After distilling findings from the discovery phase, the Strategist will help craft a variety of deliverables that outline user needs and define strategy for the lifecycle of the project. These can include but are not limited to creative briefs, user personas, journey maps, functional requirements, information architecture, and content strategy recommendations.
This is a full-time position. Remote applicants and those local to Fastspot's Baltimore-based office will be considered. Travel is currently not required due to COVID-19 but in the future when appropriate it will be. Trips are often two- or three-day client discovery visits.
