Summary:
The Transportation Assistant Manager (AM) is responsible for all route maintenance and assists in new route development and for all agency and Rideshare vehicles. The position will assist the Transportation Manager with transportation administration and management of the route systems and drivers. The AM will learn routes and be able to fill in on any route when needed and is required to possess or obtain a State of Connecticut Public Service Operator License.
Requirements:
· High School Diploma/GED, associate degree preferred.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Google Docs.
· Strong leadership and communication skills.
· Flexibility and willingness to learn and adapt.
· Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments and teams.
· Valid CT driver's license with a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
Physical Stamina: They may need to stand, walk, or be on their feet for extended periods. They should have the physical stamina to handle the demands of the job.
Lifting and Carrying: Lift and carry objects of various weights. This could include lifting packages, equipment, or other items related to transportation operations.
Driving: Operate vehicles as part of their job responsibilities.
Physical Coordination: In some cases, transportation managers may need to perform tasks that require manual dexterity and coordination. This could include handling paperwork, operating equipment, or using computer systems for tracking and analysis.
