Location: Fayetteville, NCJob Type: Full TimeEducation Requirements: Master's Degree Role Description We are seeking a Mental Health Counselor to join our team! You will provide recovery-oriented rehabilitation services in group or individual settings. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Fayetteville, NC. The Mental Health Counselor will provide counseling, therapy, and mental health services to men in our Living Hope & Growing Resilience Programs. The Counselor will also develop diagnosis, treatment, and discharge plans under the guidance of program leaders and in line with evidence-based practices. Furthermore, the Counselor will maintain accurate and updated records, including timely notes and documentation of services provided in the organization's database. The Counselor will also hire and oversee a Case Manager. Responsibilities: • Establish open lines of communication for individuals with mental or emotional issues • Offer assistance to individuals with substance abuse issues • Provide prevention-oriented therapy • Implement and review treatment plans • Collaborate with additional treatment providers and placement agencies • Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner Qualifications: • Previous experience in mental health counseling or other related fields • Familiarity with community mental health resources • This position requires an associate or full mental health license (i.e LCSW/A, LCMHC/A, LCAS,A) • Preferably two years of experience providing counseling and therapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups • Expertise in evidence-based counseling theories and practices • Experience in conducting assessments, developing diagnoses, and creating treatment plans • Experience working with diverse populations, and knowledge of cultural sensitivity and trauma-informed models of care • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Strong organizational and time-management skills • Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other healthcare professionals in providing comprehensive care Based on experience: Provisional License Min: $45,000 Mid: $47,500 Full License Min: $50,000 Mid: $60,000
