Responsibilities:
- Manages enrollment, attendance records, and health and safety records
- Inventories and orders supplies
- Hires, trains and supervises staff, including teachers, assistant teachers, student teachers and kitchen help
- Evaluates teachers, including observation in classrooms, and rating teachers’ performance on a quarterly basis
- Assists staff in setting and working toward professional goals
- Conducts weekly meetings with staff
- Provides in-house training for staff (contract hours)
- Develops or reviews teachers’ lesson plans
- Chooses and oversees the curriculum used in all classes
- Coordinates policies and procedures according to implemented food funding programs
- Ensures the preschool and daycare is in full compliance with all licensing and safety regulations
- Maintains and updates licensing paperwork and schedules any needed inspections
- Writes policies and plans in preparation for emergencies in the preschool and daycare
- Confirms the facilities are well maintained, manages the budget and works closely with parents
- Attends meetings with the FBC Baldwyn Preschool & Daycare Board as directed by the board
- Approves Procare Notes
Eligibility Requirement:
- Has successfully completed the necessary coursework required by the Mississippi State Department of Health
- Has clearance through a state and federal background check
- Hs up-to-date immunization records
