Commercial Business Center Director

What You’ll Do: As the Commercial Business Center Director, you will:
· Have responsibility for achieving and maintaining the critical success factors of client service, growth, loss ratio and efficient operations for the Commercial Business Unit.
· Develop and implement a business center strategy that includes performance metrics to monitor and improve results, develop and empower underwriting staff, and build relationships with agency partners that supports the profitable growth of the Commercial Business Unit.
· Build strong relationships with marketing and understand distribution systems.
· Manage a commercial underwriting team with responsibility for profitable growth .
· Oversee budget and operating procedures for the Commercial Business Unit to drive efficiency and profitability.
What It Takes to Join Our Team:
· College degree or equivalent plus 10 years of relevant experience is required. Commercial insurance experience, as well as prior industry leadership experience is preferred.
· CPCU preferred.
· Be a high-level leader that is data minded and process oriented to lead the team.
· Be a visionary and a strategic thinker in order to implement positive change.
· Have strong project management skills and can manage multiple priorities.
· Effective leadership skills and demonstrated success in leading, facilitating and managing strategic planning initiatives is required. Must be able to get people focused on a common goal and achieve results.
· Proven ability to build strong relationships across the business.
· Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to express yourself in a professional and diplomatic manner.
· Must have excellent problem solving, analytical and organizational skills.
· Ability to work under pressure and shift priorities to achieve corporate and business unit goals.
· Travel required (approximately 20-30%). A valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Records are required.
