ETL Developer

Can you develop and maintain system applications and related procedures? Do you have experience developing and supporting system applications outlined by managers or other project leaders? If so, this ETL developer position could be for you!

Farm Bureau Financial Services is looking for an ETL developer to join our Producer Incentive Compensation team. This individual will develop and maintain existing applications of high complexity including developing application code, testing, and developing required documentation. We are looking for someone who is an excellent communicator, very customer service focused, and detail oriented. ETL and SQL skills are a must and informatica skills are a plus.

What you'll do:

•  Respond to and resolve customer service requests according to FBL Financial Group, Inc., policies in a prompt, efficient and courteous manner for external customers, department staff, and other FBL personnel always.
•  Evaluate system applications and effect solutions through application maintenance or by new system application development and inform system consultants on project status.
• Analyze and evaluate system applications. Develop new and maintain existing applications medium to high complexity including developing application code, testing completed applications, and develop required documentation as defined by company development standards.
• Maintain strict adherence to standards for documentation, development techniques, testing, and other related development activity.
• Keep up to date on system development techniques and apply those techniques when analyzing and developing system applications.
• Keep application development manager, project manager and team members informed on status of deliverables.
• Assist in on-call rotation to provide round-the-clock support of our production systems.

What it takes to join our team:

•  ETL and SQL skills required.
•  College degree or equivalent required.
• Three years of experience in insurance or finance data processing preferred.
• Informatica skills preferred
• Knowledge of data handling methods, development techniques and one or more development programming languages.
• Oral and written communication skills as appropriate to this position.
