What are the responsibilities and job description for the High Voltage Connectors DRE position at FCA?
Stellantis is seeking a qualified High Voltage Connector Engineering professional that will be responsible for the selection and development of Electrical/ Electronic High Voltage Connectors; meeting regulatory and customer competitive requirements. The responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
Shelf item connector selection/evaluation using Stellantis connector evaluation guidelines and the Connector Selection Request (CSR) process
Connector terminal and seal selection for various wire types
Connector packaging and ergonomic evaluation (USCar25)
Connector testing and DVP&R development and approval for connector/module testing (environmental/electrical/mechanical, plating and tolerance issues)
Connector catalog management and technical data definition (specifications, related parts, CAD model and end views)
Connector problem solving at assembly plants including root cause analysis and corrective action
Supplier management of tier-2 connector (i.e., supplier issues, tool modification, tool capacity planning, tool moves, etc.)
Basic Qualifcations:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited university
Minimum 5 years of automotive experience with High Voltage wiring background
Experience in plastic molding, metal stamping, terminal precious metal plating (i.e., gold, silver tin, and palladium), insert molding and GD&T
Good presentation/communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong ability to work effectively within an extended team
Self-starter individual that is comfortable managing multiple assignments
Willing to travel, domestically and internationally when needed
Support launch activities
Preferred Qualifcations:
Master of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited university
Shainin Green Belt/Black Belt/DFSS. UG/NX & Teamcenter experience
Cross functional discipline experience preferred
Familiarity with manufacturing processes for wiring and related components
