In-house manufacturing capabilities include: Transfer Press Stamping/Forming, Grob Forming, Flow Forming, Aluminum Die Casting, Electron Beam Welding, CNC Machining & Drilling and Assembly.
FCC is seeking experienced, ambitious and dedicated Quality Control Technician on a Varitey of Shifts. This is an hourly position.
The right candidate for this position will posses the following skills:
- Algebra-level math
- Mechanical abilities
- SPC
- ISO/TS 16949
- Computer Knowledge
- Basic measurement equipment and hand gauges
- Experience in manufacturing quality or maintenance
- Blueprint reading (GD&T)
Role
Support the Quality Control department by performing measurements, calibration, and laboratory testing. Comply with all company safety, quality and environmental standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine laboratory measurements as assigned, including weld checks, incoming goods audit, outgoing goods audit, die core approvals, dimensional layouts, contamination testing, production start-up checks, material composition, service part audits, etc. and evaluate results for conformance to product specifications.
- Maintain a proficiency in measurement devices as assigned, such as basic hand gauges, video scope, roundness tester, basic CMM operation, force tester, optical comparator, contour tracer, profilometer, hardness tester, spectrometer, etc.
- Read blueprints, including geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) symbols, to determine product specifications and evaluate products for conformance to specifications.
- Review initial parts tags and abnormal parts tags for basic process changes.
- Participate in measurement (R&R) and process capability studies as assigned.
- Complete special measurement requests for investigative support of all departments company-wide as needed.
- Diagnose problems and perform maintenance on gages to ensure accurate measurements.
- Perform routine calibration on hand gages as assigned.
- Enter data for routine reports, including supplier capability, supplier scorecards, etc.
- Assist with filing of paperwork as needed.
- Comply with all IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 systems to ensure a quality product. Maintain a safe, clean working environment.
- Additional projects assigned by management or supervisor.
Preferred Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
