FCC (Adams), LLC seeks a Manager, Quality Control in Berne, Indiana.
Job Duties: Oversee Quality Control Department. Formulate and execute business plans for the QC department. Assist with monthly budget and implement measures to continually monitor and decrease expenses. Oversee and implement Quality Management System (QMS) and maintain certifications to IATF 16949. Oversee direct reports in monitoring day-to-day activities of supplier, internal quality, and QC lab. Provide advanced technical guidance to direct reports on Gemba investigations, auditing, core tools, root cause analysis, process and quality improvements, blueprint reading / GD&T, and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) submissions. Ensure proper training material, training plans, and competency confirmation are in place for QC associates. Provide associates with on-going feedback to promote technical and professional growth. Oversee supplier and internal non-conformance activities. Review and approve sorts for quality issues. Coordinate with other departments in planning and execution of supplier and customer PPAP submissions. Review and approve supplier PPAP packages. Conduct 2nd party audits of suppliers’ quality management system per IATF 16949. Conduct 1st party audits of internal processes. Work across subject departments to propose and implement quality process improvements. Finalize reports for customers using 8D. Review and approve core layouts. Manage direct-reports’ timeclock, overtime, and vacation time.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Management or a closely related field plus 5 years of progressive experience in automotive manufacturing using PPAP, SPC, Gauge MSA, APQP, and FMEA. Requires 2 years of supervisory experience. All experience may be gained concurrently. Also requires Six Sigma Greenbelt certification.
