FCCI’s Business Analyst (or Senior Business Analyst) works closely with a variety of business partners and project stakeholders to identify the needs, risks, and assumptions associated with business projects, as well as evaluate systems capability.

The BA will lead requirements definition and design and participate in all phases of the systems development lifecycle from Planning through to Deployment. This may require leading other Business Analysts for enterprise-wide projects. This role utilizes significant Business Analysis experience across the full project lifecycle (planning, requirements, design, development, testing and deployment) to ensure requirements are understood and validated by stakeholders and adhere to the review and approval procedures defined by FCCI IT SDLC process. This position will be based out of our Sarasota, Florida corporate office in the Lakewood Ranch area or one of our regional offices: Ridgeland, MS, Glen Allen, VA, Indianapolis, IN, or Lawrenceville, GA

Required

* Bachelors’ Degree (or progressively responsible experience will be considered as equivalent).
* Minimum of two years Business Analysis experience with solid understanding of complex workflows. [Note: Additional BA experience may qualify as a Senior Business Analyst.]
* Successful candidates will have at least two years leading medium to large/complex projects, including requirements analysis, definition, engineering and ongoing requirements management in either waterfall or agile environments.
* Knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance or surety/bond processing, to include understanding of insurance claims, underwriting, or billing processes, as well as independent agent/agency business model.
* Solid knowledge of business analysis processes, work products and artifacts (including creating and maintaining System Requirements & technical documentation.)
* Solid knowledge of elicitation methods, analyzing, validating, and managing requirements.
* Ability to understand business functionality and translate it into application requirements.
* Experience in current state and future state business process modeling is preferred, with ability to influence and recommend modifications.
* Experience supporting custom and third party business applications, as well as understanding project interdependencies and systems integrations.
* Basic working knowledge of one or more operating systems, databases, tools and/or programming languages used by FCCI (e.g., SQL, Issue tracking tools such as Jira, ALM, Workfront; and modeling tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, Blueworks Live, etc.).
* Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal and organizational skills.
* Advanced ability to analyze, define and solve problems; the use of good judgment and decision-making.

Preferred

* Understanding of relational databases.
* Experience implementing COTS applications
* Experience working in complex integration and data centric environment.
* Solid working knowledge of the IIBA’s BABOK industry best practices with ability to support multiple projects as needed.
