Summary The Fort Collins City Attorney’s Office is offering a hybrid,
paid ($18-$25/hr DOE) summer internship opportunity in 2024 for one (1) 3L/4 LPT
student (or 2L/3 LPT with relevant law or government experience).
This position is designed for a student to gain a broad
understanding of in-house municipal law practices with municipal prosecution,
land use code amendments, planning/zoning hearings, election policy,
diversity/equity/inclusion policy, utility services, and locally owned broadband.
The position may be eligible for academic credit as determined by the
University the student attends. Students completing the program may be
considered for post-graduation full-time opportunities. The City Attorney’s
Office provides in-house advisory, transactional, and litigation legal services
for the City of Fort Collins organization, including advising the City Council
and administrators, supporting police services, prosecuting municipal code offenses
in municipal court, and advising on telecom, technology, and intellectual
property matters.
