Position Overview
Sales Development Reps (SDR) are the front-line of our sales organization, and are outgoing, enthusiastic, and energetic employees who are responsible for prospecting inbound and outbound sales opportunities. As the first point of contact for any potential customer, our SDRs are responsible for establishing brand awareness, demonstrating capabilities, and ensuring a smooth sales process.
The potential salary of this position includes a base salary and bonuses on activity goals and new sales goals. Successful SDRs have the opportunity to generate a greater salary than advertised in this posting.

Description
Sales Development Representatives are responsible for sourcing leads, initiating contact, and scheduling prospective clients for product demonstrations. This process begins with assessing the quality of every lead by determining their needs, access to competitive solutions, and availability of budget. High-quality leads will transition into a product demonstration, let by our Account Executives. During the sales process, BRDs maintain contact with every lead to ensure the smooth transition between each phase of the process, while building momentum towards scheduling a product demonstration.
- Source new leads from multiple channels of lead generation
- Proactively engage with identified leads
- Assess the needs, pain points and quality of every lead
- Educate product capabilities and align those with identified needs
- Capture all communications in our CRM
- Maintain constant contact with all active leads
- Develop a strong understanding of the Federal Compass platform
- Hit daily KPIs
Required Attributes and Skillsets
- Outgoing and energetic personality
- Extremely comfortable engaging in telephone-based conversations
- Demonstrated ability to conduct a presentation, manage questions and respond to feedback
- Excellent verbal and written skills – clear, concise, and complete
- Excellent multi-tasking – able to handle multiple leads simultaneously
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize
- Exceptional people skills and the ability to collaborate in a team environment
- Strong administrative skills required to capture all communications in our CRM
- Ability to work independently

Job Type: Full-time
Experience
- 2-plus years of software sales experience preferred
- Experience with telephone-based sales required
- Experience with SaaS solutions preferred
- Experience in the Federal contracting market preferred
Education
- Bachelor's (Preferred) but not required for consideration
Location/Hours of Operation
- Hybrid in-office position. We are headquartered in Arlington, VA. Working hours will be 40 hours per week. Monday, Wednesday and Friday in office.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
