Internal Audit, Managing Dir.

Job Description: The Internal Audit function provides the Bank with objective and independent assurance services to support the Bank in its mission and help achieve its objectives through proactive risk management. The Managing Director is responsible for providing strategic and technical leadership to a team of internal audit professionals and will report directly to the Chief Audit Executive. We are seeking candidates with experience in the financial services industry who have strong leadership skills, are mission driven and appreciates working in a collaborative team environment. Responsibilities: Participate in the planning and overall management of the Internal Audit Department Drive the delivery of audit engagements following established methodology and quality standards Direct, counsel, and manage team members, co-source provider and project budgets to execute the annual audit plan Engage senior leaders to strengthen the Internal Audit team’s relationships Prepare and deliver presentation material related to the internal audit program to the intended audience, including the Audit Committee Influence and inform the Internal Audit strategic audit plan Coordinate and manage regulatory requests and examinations with Bank regulators and external auditor. Maintain an in-depth understanding of the business processes and the underlying technologies of the Bank’s finance and operations infrastructure. Drive the continuous improvement of audit methodologies, audit approach and related practices with particular emphasis towards collaboration with key partners, leveraging the use of analytics, business intelligence, and other enabling approaches, technologies and tools. Execute special assignments and other duties as assigned at the direction of the Chief Audit Executive. Skills/Knowledge: Minimum of 10 years audit experience of related professional experience with 5 years working in the financial services industry with managerial level experience BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, or some other related field required. CPA, CIA, or National Bank Regulator designation strongly preferred Proven ability to influence change, collect/analyze data and effectively challenge Sound understanding of audit process/methodology and risk management Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication, exceptional interpersonal, and relationship building skills Able to manage multiple concurrent audits/projects Strong negotiation and influencing skills Proven ability to provide leadership and develop self and team Strong Team Leadership and consensus building skills.
