Description
Summary: Troubleshoot, repair and inspect gasoline, diesel and propane powered vehicles by performing the duties listed below.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Perform routine maintenance including oil/filter changes, greasing.
- Diagnose and repair engine malfunctions.
- Diagnose and repair chassis, brakes, tires, belts, hoses, and lights.
- Diagnose and repair charging and fuels pumping system components.
- Diagnose and repair alignment and other front-end repair work.
- Attend regular training sessions and get certified as needed to keep current with changing repairs.
- Performs regular inspections and repairs on company vehicles and repairs as needed by management.
- Keeps work area clean and organized daily.
- Keeps a proper inventory of tools to handle incoming repair jobs.
- Maintain adequate inventory of commonly used repair parts and equipment.
- Adhere to all Federated policies and procedures.
- Secure facility.
- Performs all other routine duties.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) training with certificates related to job applying for helpful.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and work with flammable materials. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outdoor weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
