Description
Federated Co-ops has great opportunity for a Team Lead at our growing Country Store location. As a Team Lead of this Country Store, you will be responsible for supporting the daily operations which impact the overall financial results of the location. This position will help optimize store efficiencies, promote outstanding customer service, and grow location profitability. This is a HANDS-ON "lead by example" position with the potential for ongoing growth within the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Customer Experience:
- Power Equipment Sales: Support sales growth for all power equipment, ensuring all interested customers receive high-quality knowledgeable support by team members.
- Promote and process Cub Cadet (Sheffield / TD) Financing with customers.
- Power Equipment Parts: identifies and orders parts and supplies needed for walk-in and special-order needs.
- Feed and companion animal products: Promote and provide knowledgeable support to customers.
- Addresses customer's concerns and inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure the store is clean, stocked to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Understand products and offerings and answer customer's inquiries or resolves concerns.
- Rings up customers, lift carry and load feed/supplies into customers vehicle (up to 50 lbs.) multiple times per day.
Store Merchandising:
- Support product ordering and maintenance including shelf stock, signs, tags, and promotional material.
- Evaluate product demand and utilization to replace or replenish stock and optimize floor space.
- Understand, promote, and offer products/services and support employees to promote products.
- Orders, stocks merchandise and inventory and ensures invoice processing.
Employee Management:
- Support optimal staffing levels. Identifies, attracts, and retains outgoing, customer-focused team.
- Support employee training and engagement in sales work, taking of inventories, reconciling cash with sales receipts, keeping operating records, or preparing a daily record of transactions for accounting.
- Encourages feedback, support staff by developing and empowering to improve productivity.

Qualifications
Qualifications
- 2 years previous retail work experience preferred.
- Country Store or Convenience Store preferred (but willing to train the right candidate).
- Knowledge of power equipment sales, parts and service preferred.
- Knowledge of Feed and animal companion products preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft (Word/Excel) and retail/order entry systems is required.
- Ability to Open/Close, lock and secure store with support of location staff.
- Commit to extended work hours when necessary to reach goals.
- Ability to work evening and weekend hours as needed.
- Experience working closely with and motivating staff.
- Ability to calculate figures/amounts.
