POSITION OVERVIEW :
Inventory and identify contents of all containers received at chemical management facility involving contaminated or damaged commercial chemical shipments.
Recycle and salvage all available products for re-sale at Sav-A-Bundle or other viable sources of sale or recycling. Routinely pick up shipments of hazardous materials from Service Center and return trailer.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Pickup shipments of hazardous materials from service center and return trailer
Combine qualifying like commercial chemical products for off-site shipment
Unload inbound shipments to staging area
Inspect containers for condition, labeling and marking
Properly document condition, contents and labeling of each container
Place each qualifying container in an appropriate slot for proper handling
Decontamination of personal protective equipment and facility tools
Load outbound salvaged products to vendors, FedEx Freight Salvage facility, and original shippers
Load outbound shipments to approved recycling or disposal facility(s)
Perform decontamination work on revenue equipment as needed
Perform facility / warehouse housekeeping duties; including but not limited to sweeping, trash disposal, tool roundup, etc.
Comply with all applicable laws / regulations, as well as company policies / procedures
Perform other duties as required
