What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program advisor position at FedEx?
Manage company's indirect air carrier standard security program (iacssp) and certified cargo screening program (ccsp), which are regulated by the transportation security administration (tsa), to ensure company wide compliance.
Responsible for managing company's iacssp and ccsp. Maintains TSA iacssp management system, adding and updating all vendor information and vetting of all customers for known shipper status.
Performs audits of iac stations for adherence to policy and procedures. Manages establishment of new ccsp facilities. Coordinates and / or conducts training on ccsp cargo screening procedures and practices.
Updates and maintains database of customers qualifying for known shipper status with tsar. Provides guidance to employees when dealing with questions of regulation and policy about TSA and other government agency requirements.
Maintains reference libraries and materials regarding TSA and related transportation security issues for company. Files various TSA applications.
Coordinates background screening of company applicants for security tHReat assessment. Develops and maintains operational processes, procedures and policies relating to transportation security.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree / equivalent.
- Five (5) years of security experience with TSA matters required.
- Detailed knowledge of TSA IACSSP and CCSP required.
- Must be able to pass a TSA security background check.
- Must have on call availability 24 / 7 for TSA inquiries.
- Strong basic management, human relations and communication skills.
- Extensive travel required.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Strong basic management experience, Human relations experience, and communication skills.
- Computer experience with MS Office with a focus on MS Excel for calculating KPIs and generating reports
- Strong understanding of Title 49 CFR Parts 1548 & 1549
- Be able to represent FedEx Logistics in industry forums
- Process writing experience
- Physical cargo screening experience
- Lean 6 Sigma or QDM Expertise
- Radiation Safety Officer experience working with x-ray equipment
- Basic maintenance knowledge of security screening hardware
- 4 years prior experience with a leadership role under an airline cargo security program
- 4 years as a Principle Security Coordinator or
- Alternate for a licensed IAC under the TSA security program(s)
- Some knowledge in Workday would be preferred
- 4 years training cargo security screener proficiency in three screening disciplines : physical search, AT X-Ray and ETD
