General Summary….
The Proposal Writer is focused on development of proposal content, co-ordination of proposal activity and development and control of supporting collateral. Working with the designated Sales and Solutions leads, any selected partners and the Company internal teams, you will ensure all required content and documentation are contained in the final response. You will co-ordinate input of materials from various support functions to achieve the agreed to response date. You will attend proposal status meetings where you will communicate progress of activity within your span of control.
This position will be responsible for…..
- Developing proposal responses for business opportunities and respond to RFP’s.
- Developing all presentations with the sales team, operations field team, and senior management.
- Administrator of Loopio managing users, categories, approving overall content.
- Provide training and support to other business unit users of Loopio.
- Updating content in the Loopio Proposal Database.
- Proofreading, editing and rewriting all sections of the proposal to ensure accurate and timely completion of all proposals.
- Responsible for maintaining core content, as approved by Legal, consistent with FedEx rebranding for inclusion in proposal responses.
- Maintain open communications with Loopio developers to encourage application enhancements and manage systems malfunctions in a timely manner in order to improve resource efficiency.
- Work in collaboration with SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) to identify and facilitate additional process and resource efficiencies.
- Researching and writing standard and customized proposals with integrated services.
- Project management of internal and external resources.
- Coordinating the flow of information from various department contributors to ensure that all deadlines are met.
- Attending strategy, status and follow-up meetings on proposals; actively contributing to these meetings.
- Working closely with the sales team and senior management to develop responses that convey a custom proposal strategy and message.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field preferred and 2-4 years of relevant experience.
- In lieu of degree, high school diploma or GED and 4-6 years of relevant experience.
- Proven analytical and planning skills.
- Superb writing skills, with a demonstrated history of excellence and a portfolio of published work.
- Excellent editing and proofreading skills.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to learn and create engaging content about our company, industry, products, programs and services.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Project.
- Highly customer-focused with demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork.
