General Summary….
The primary responsibilities of this position are to develop an interactive, powerful and engaging curriculum and effectively deliver training to all teammates and departments on various topics relating to the business. The Training Specialist must have the ability to understand all aspects of the business and be able to energetically articulate that information to others.
This position will be responsible for…..
- Continually improve new logistics training curriculum that focuses on industry/market knowledge.
- Create training materials, class schedules, presentations, role-play scenarios, testing and icebreaker activities.
- Deliver the established content in a manner that is engaging, collaborative and memorable.
- Ensure consistency of training delivery and implementing of best practices which drive consistency.
- Clearly understand the business model and effectively communicate the key success factors to all new teammates.
- Work closely with site leaders and subject matter experts to conduct continual training needs assessment across all sites.
- Ensure training records are to company standards.
- Supervision of cross training in the facility. Technical guidance and supervision of the local training team (process trainers, forklift trainers)
- Continuous development of the local training system and training conception. Create, modify and conduct training for all levels of teammates.
- May assist with creating SOP and regular SOP audits.
- Serve as a “go to” for new hires or establish a “go to”
mentor for all new hires
You might be a great fit if….
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; business, operations management, supply chain management or a related field preferred or minimum of 2 years of experience in an operations/warehouse/supply chain environment required.
- In lieu of degree, high school diploma or GED, and 4 years of relevant experience.
- 2 to 4 years’ experience training with a large, corporate environment is preferred.
- Expert knowledge understanding learning management systems (LMS), adult learning methodology, First Aid and BBP.
- Prioritization and problem-solving skills essential.
- Proven ability to drive continuous improvement with fundamental understanding of change management.
- Ability to handle people under high-stress situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
