The Specialist, Data and Systems will ensure efficient and effective systems and data operations, in support of Marketing and Development teams, through the design, development, and implementation of automated processes.  Responsible for data integrity across development and marketing systems. This is a fully remote position.

• Perform data uploads of important and sensitive data to our Salesforce CRM with a strong emphasis on data quality control, using Excel and SQL to manipulate, transform, and ultimately prepare the input file for upload.
• Ensure quality control and proper data management of the Marketing team’s campaign data, including campaign code description sheets and ongoing production jobs.
• Maintain the regular operational tasks specific to data sharing between food bank members and the national office, serving as primary liaison to network members for questions about process and technical assistance.
• Design, build, and manipulate queries in SQL to create data extracts and reporting of our CRM data.
• Review existing data processes and identify opportunities to promote data management best practices through standardization, efficiencies, automation, reporting, and more.

• Support the data integrity audit process related to our CRM – leveraging SQL, Excel, and other data management tools to create audit scripts and reports, flag affected records, and maintain short-term and long-term clean-up efforts.
• Develop, disseminate, and maintain business documentation and ensure compliance with business rules related to data integrity for all Marketing and Development processes.
• Support the de-duplication process of records, including creating data integrity audits and bringing forward recommendations regarding data enhancements and tools required to accomplish the work.
• Build expertise of underlying data architecture of Feeding America’s configuration of Salesforce NGOC, as well as the accompanying data warehouse, especially in the areas of donations, campaigns, data integrations, and various data configurations within the system.
• Perform various forms of testing and compile detailed feedback related to system upgrades and enhancements.
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by manager.

• 3 years of professional experience in a data science or data management field.
• Extensive skill set with various data management and reporting tools. Advanced skill level in both Excel and SQL (or another data programming language) is required.
• Experience querying and/or maintaining a database or CRM. Experience with Salesforce NGOC/NPSP a plus.
• Knowledge and experience in data quality control, especially when manipulating or transforming data.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including technical writing and the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to understand and problem-solve with complex business systems and processes, with keen interest in how things work and how they translate to a data structure.
