SUMMARY:
The EHS Specialist works with Environmental Health and Safety Director to plan, direct, and implement Key Cooperative’s environmental health and safety programs to ensure a positive, safe, healthy, and incident-free work environment and is responsible for the compliance by Key Cooperative with all environmental and safety regulatory agencies. Areas of specialty for this position, while having a general knowledge company-wide, will focus on compliance monitoring and reporting in all areas of the company. This position would also respond to emergency situations when they arise.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assists with annual department goals according to key metrics (ex- lost time accidents) that are measured throughout the organization.
· Plans, implements, and oversees the company safety and maintenance program; coordinates and assists with Key Cooperative’s safety committee

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Employee must have a working knowledge of Environment Healthy and Safety Procedures. Must be self-motivated and possess well-developed leadership skills.
Minimum Requirement:
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets basic instructions and required documents. Has the ability to respond and communicate complicated instruction and basic directions.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to comprehend and apply principles of basic mathematics.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
