Job Description:
Propane Service Technician – Billings Montana
Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of propane systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Diagnose and repair propane system malfunctions and issues, adhering to safety guidelines and protocols.
Install, upgrade, and modify propane systems to meet customer requirements and regulatory standards.
Diagnose and repair metering systems, to include calibration and certification.
Perform leak tests to identify and resolve potential gas leaks promptly.
Provide technical guidance and support to customers regarding propane system usage, maintenance, and safety precautions.
Respond to service calls and emergency situations promptly and efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime for customers.
Maintain accurate records of service calls, inspections, and repairs.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to travel extensively (travel within the state of Montana, as well as interstate travel) and stay away from home for multiple days / nights at a time.
Ability to obtain any necessary licenses or training credentials.
Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a propane service technician.
Strong knowledge of propane systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair techniques.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and safety standards for propane systems.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate technical information effectively.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills.
Work Environment
This position is primarily performed at the worksite/out in the field, with consistent exposure to the outdoors, year-round.
This position requires extensive driving and/or travel.
This position requires work within confined spaces.
Along with the ability to lift 50 pounds, this position requires physical labor and the ability to stand for long periods of time.
This position may also use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
