Concrete Finisher

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Concrete Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Concrete Preparation and Placement: Measure, mix, pour, and spread concrete to specified depths and ensure proper compaction and finishing.
• Surface Finishing: Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete, such as floors, sidewalks, roads, or curbs using a variety of hand and power tools (e.g., trowels, screeds, floats, and power grinders).
• Formwork and Molds: Set forms that hold concrete to the desired pitch and depth, and align them.
• Surface Treatments: Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure surface of concrete, and waterproof or restore surfaces.
• Repair Work: Patch and repair damaged concrete structures, filling voids, and using various techniques to ensure structural integrity.
• Inspection and Quality Control: Monitor the curing process and ensure that the concrete is curing properly. Inspect finished work for compliance with specifications.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for all team members. Use protective equipment and follow protocols for hazardous materials.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience as a concrete finisher or in a similar role.
• Skills: Proficiency with hand and power tools used in concrete finishing. Ability to read blueprints, sketches, and construction plans.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods. Must be able to work in various weather conditions.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications or training in concrete finishing techniques and safety procedures are a plus.
• Team Player: Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with specialized concrete finishes, such as stamped, stained, or polished concrete.
• Knowledge of modern concrete finishing techniques and materials.
