As the Technician QC Bioanalytical your primary responsibilities will encompass a range of routine cell culture tasks. In addition to your hands-on activities, you'll also play a role in maintaining the integrity of the laboratory environment. This includes conducting regular maintenance on instruments and equipment to ensure their reliability. Moreover, you'll be responsible for the upkeep of critical laboratory documents, including logbooks, batch records, and other essential documentation to ensure compliance and traceability. Your role as a Technician QC Bioanalytical will support the overall quality control processes and maintain the high standards of our laboratory operations. Responsibilities: Perform media and buffer preparation, initiating and maintaining cell culture with aseptic and GLP procedures, including cell cryopreservation. Ensure consistency of cell culture materials, such as stocking the laboratory with necessary supplies, mediums and reagents; and keep clean documentation of inventories. Conduct routine maintenance on general laboratory equipment, which includes incubators, BSCs, freezers, and more. Maintain equipment cleanliness and ensure the tidiness of work surfaces. Continuously monitor laboratory equipment for factors such as temperature, humidity, and adherence to specifications. Prepare cells to meet the requirements of multiple simultaneous projects, occasionally flexible work hours in close collaboration with project scientists. Carry out fundamental laboratory protocol studies, which include calculations and data analysis. Under supervision, execute routine quality control tasks, including sample coordination and laboratory equipment maintenance. Ensure accurate record-keeping of batch records, notebooks, and other relevant documentation. Requirements: BS degree in Molecular Biology or a related scientific field or relevant work experience Minimum 1-year experience in cell biology or relevant biotechnology training, QC experience preferred Familiarity with laboratory techniques, analytical instruments, and laboratory safety practices. Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to follow procedures accurately. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Familiarity of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and regulatory requirements is a plus. Physical Requirements: Wear safety and/or protective equipment. Work with instruments and chemicals such as organic solvents. Our Compensation and Benefits At Ferring, base salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is $38,000 to $84,000, which is the reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount paid may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, education and primary work location. Additional compensation for this role will be provided based on competitive annual incentive compensation targets in the form of an annual bonus - payouts are based on individual and company performance. Benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with a premium differential, inverse to base salary, to be paid by employees, a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, wellness benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full time employees to accrue up to 120 hours in the first four (4) years of employment, and 160 hours in the fifth (5th) year of employment as well as 12 to 13 paid holidays per year.
